Bhusanam is a table lamp made of blown glass. In the hands of Ettore Sottsass, glass and metal take on new forms, inspired by India, giving a new visual meaning to the Sanskrit word that inspires its name: bhūṣaṇam, ornament. Bhusanam is available as a numbered edition table lamp.
“When we imagine glass objects, we feel very special emotions: we imagine light and colours that we cannot touch. Then, suddenly, there is light and there are colours, yet we still cannot touch them. They remain weightless, without temperature, living only in our imagination. All this produces very special emotions.”
