Inspired by the lightness of flower petals, Leaf collection’s link with nature is evident, not only because of its shapes, but also in its use of sustainable materials. The generous cushions are covered with a 100% green fabric created by recycling plastic obtained from post-consumer PET bottles. In keeping with the circular design philosophy, this fabric is Made in Italy, using local suppliers and a unique, chemical-free production process. Through a mechanical process, the plastic bottles are transformed into small flakes, then into polymers and then into recycled PET fiber. The use of recycled polyester, which requires fewer processing steps, allows considerable energy and water savings and a clear reduction in carbon emissions. Circularity is also ensured through the use of aluminum, an eternal and infinitely recyclable material that is used in combination with VittEr®, another brand-new sustainable, recyclable and formaldehyde-free material that Talenti has chosen for the table surfaces. The icing on the cake is the unique, 100% Made in Italy woven material used for the armrests and backs, which creates a very attractive three-dimensional effect. A product that clearly demonstrates how Talenti is able to combine design and sustainability.
