OTTO lamp series design echoes the distant sci-fi imaginary of the late 60s and early 70s. It’s inspired by the illustrations of the UFOs era with the very distant universes they used to recall its silhouette refers in a playful way to the world of amusement park carousels, which have played such a large part in bringing the ‘space dream’ to Earth. OTTO is an airy, almost floating suspension composed of an upper hat covered in bouclé fabric by Rubelli, which completes and contrasts with a diaphanous inverted truncated cone formed by pongè bands, whose actual pose is to become a light diffuser. The lamps are completely hand-sewn and are presented in four different melange color variants: green, brown, pink, and blue. The cotton linings are ton-sur-ton with the hat. OTTO is presented in two different sizes (50 and 70 cm in diameter), to fit into any context, or to create groups of lamps.
