SECOND SKIN is an armchair with a wooden frame and leather upholstery. Second Skin strips away all frills until all that remains is its core, "the bones". Given the deconstructed chair and keeping in mind the traditional leather upholstery, the result is a comfortable chair that reflects a 21st century interpretation of old craftsmanship. A simple frame made of lacquered solid oak supports a generous piece of leather sandwiched between the back and armrests. Each chair is handcrafted and totally unique, thanks to the variety of cutouts of large pieces of leather and the way they are draped around the frame. In addition to leather, it is possible to upholster the chair in the desired colour of Kvadrat's Divina fabric. If desired, up to five layers of (contrasting) leather or fabric can be applied to a chair.
