Rpbw is a square pouf made of QM Foam. The element has an incoming plinth at the bottom. A 12 mm multiplex plate is glued to the bottom of the QM foam. The foam is first quilted with Dacron, then covered with fabric or leather. The plywood sheet is finished with black felt at the bottom. The base is mounted with feet at the bottom.
The furniture for the RPBW collection is a result of a long design process in close cooperation between Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris and SDC_lab. This resulted in some standard pieces, but besides this also a lot of custom pieces have been designed for the project of the SNCFF in Athens, open since 2017 for public. The intention was to design seating elements that would perfectly combine into different settings.
