The mandelbrot table system is dedicated in name to the mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot, who played a major role in chaos research. His discoveries of fractal structures that are infinitely scalable in all directions changed the way today’s sciences view the order of seemingly chaotic nature. By being repeated and strung together in succession, a simple form can take on many guises. This is where Dimitri Riffel found his inspiration for a table to easily harmonize with any number of room setups.
Integrated row linking symbolizes the mathematical principle and at the same time the function of interlocking. If every other table is turned by 180°, the tables can easily be pushed together to form infinite rows. They are self-centering and secure their position in all directions with a click. And if the tables need to be cleared away to make space for another event, the frame geometry makes it very easy to stack up to 15 of them on top of each other.
