millelumen Structure was born from the desire to clad a highly efficient LED with a shade that makes the best possible use of the light and directs it optimally. The requirement was to create both directional light and general light. The fulfillment of these requirements was finally possible for millelumen with the help of the pioneering 3D printing process used for the series structure:
The shade of the millelumen structure is manufactured in Germany using the latest 3D printing process. A sustainable, compostable biomaterial called liquid wood is used for printing. This biomaterial is printed in a honeycomb-like pattern and has a satin tint. This not only provides a soft, glare-free light but can also captivate with a special light effect: The fine honeycomb-like printed structure refracts the light similar to a diamond.
The energy for the 3D printers is obtained exclusively from sustainable energy sources.
The fitting is made of recyclable iron also manufactured in Germany. The surface is refined by means of a scratch-resistant special powder with tactile structure.
By means of a tilting swivel joint, the shade can be freely aligned.
On the cable is a foot dimmer which dims the replaceable, energy-saving LED board absolutely flicker-free.
