Designed in 1959, by Fridtjof F. Schliephacke, the floor lamp berliner bratpfanne® (the berliner frying pan) didn‘t have an easy beginning. The designer, Fridtjof Schliephacke, was only able to delight the Berlin scene with a small-scale production of 100 lamps per year beginning in the 1980’s. Particularly fascinating: its multi-functionality. As an identity symbol of many intellectuals, it was rejected by mainstream consumer society. Today the »frying pan« is, once again, a true Berlin classic.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary, the schliephacke berliner bratpfanne® was reissued as a limited schliephacke-Edition. The edition, available in the colors of beige, grey, blue and red is limited to a total of 250 pieces. Special feature: an individually engraved brass ring on the light socket with the individual edition number.
