mawa values their classics and regularly updates them with modern technology and manufacturing processes. The hanging lamps, first designed in 2007 for the corridors and stairwells of the Humboldt University, now shine brightly with a new splendor. The matt-glass ellipsoid is illuminated with an energy-saving LED‘s. The elegant, technically appearing, friars cap with rotationally symmetrical steps functions as a heat sink. A simple suspension rod hides the electrical cable, while connecting the illuminated object with a new, significantly flatter ceiling canopy, emphasizing the form of the glass.
