Mauro Lovi has worked on the surface of Emiliana Martinelli’s Pistillo lamp with a texture resulting from his artistic investigation of poplars and poplar groves using various techniques that he has been experimenting with in his paintings, drawings and watercolours. This is how Pioppo luminoso (Light Poplar) was born, where the brushstrokes seek out the colours of childhood games in poplar groves in the author’s memory.
