The table lamp’s distinctive conical shade has a built-in curved diffuser. This ensures an attractive and glare-free downwardly directed light. The stem morphs into the diffuser shade, folding inward and creating a beautiful organic geometry. A gentle light is also emitted upward through a discreet uniform opening in the top of the shade to create a perfect ambiance. Keglen was created by BIG Ideas in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 2017. In the design of Keglen, the aim was to create a systematic design language that would provide the opportunity for a wide range of lighting typologies. In other words, Bjarke Ingels, Jakob Lange and the design team from BIG Ideas wanted to create a family of lamps with the same qualities and design details in various sizes, but each with their own unique personality. The additions to the Keglen series make way for new lighting installations and intriguing plays of light. Keglen Table comes with a base or a pin mounting, making it just as ideal for instalments of long, decorative rows in lounge areas, larger study or work environment. Details like the on/off and dimming switch located on the base or pin along with the cable, which is fed through the pin and comes out of the base, all add to the elegance of the fixture. The Keglen series comes with energy-saving LED lights and is available in matt black and matt white. Information With programming by the customer, there is a possibility to disable the switch. An integrated memory function ensures that the lamp will return to its latest adjusted lumen output when power has been removed and restored. Materials Shade: Spun aluminum.
