Ascent back

Ascent back is a modular multi-layer wood bench seating. Ascent Back This single-sided version of Ascent and it's open back, makes it easy to design around walls and follow other structures. Ascent offers an alternative to long rows of lateral seating and provides more seats per square metre in the same space. Each installation has placemaking potential, introducing soft contours and warm textures that create a sense of place as they enhance the surroundings. The warmth of the natural wood resonates throughout large-scale interiors, making public spaces feel warmer and more inviting. Ascent Back 200 The Ascent Back 200 is 2000mm wide and provides 4 seats. Ascent Back Convex 60°/Ascent Back Concave 60° The Ascent Back 60° is a 60 degrees curved module and provides 2 seats. Note: This module must be snapped together with other modules to ensure stability. Ascent Back Endpiece L/Ascent Back Endpiece R The Ascent Back Endpiece Left and Right module adds on to the end of any Ascent Back configuration on the left-hand or right-hand side. NOTE: This section can not be combined with armrests, tables, or chargers. Ascent Armrest The Ascent Armrest fits between the slats of Ascent Back, Ascent Double Back, Ascent Double Bench, and Ascent Double Rise. The only position it doesn't fit is where two modules connect. Ascent Charger The Ascent Charger fits between multiple slats of Ascent Back, Ascent Double Back, Ascent Double Bench, and Ascent Double Rise. The only position that doesn't fit is where two modules connect. Ascent Table The Ascent Table fits between the slats of Ascent Back, Ascent Double Back, Ascent Double Bench, and Ascent Double Rise. The only position it doesn't fit is where two modules connect. The series was created in consultation with architects and planners to create a flexible, modular system that could change and adapt as its surroundings evolve. Designed with placemaking in mind, Ascent’s soft contours, smooth textures, and sustainable wood make public space interiors warmer and more welcoming. Ascent received the Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2021.
