Hemisphere draws on the dominant role played by the sphere in our universe against the infinite nature of an ordered cosmos. The principal yellow gold plated brass quarter-sphere is juxtaposed against a rectangular Carrara or Negro Marquina marble block, creating a startling contrast between boldness and serenity, light and shadow, straight and curved reflections.
