EGO.M has developed TRILOBY ME, a unique product thanks to the combination of five features: COMPACTNESS – The CENTO3 creative power in just one hand TRILOBY ME is compact and so handy. Put it in the bag or in your pocket and it will become your everyday companion. TRILOBATE SHAPE – Ergonomy and design An iconic section, designed by Achille Castiglioni and Gianfranco Cavaglià in 2001. 3D PRINTING – Innovation and sustainability A production that through additive manufacturing, starts from an empty space to deposit the material only where necessary until the realization of the complete product without producing any material waste. WOOD PLA MATERIAL – From Nature for Nature Produced using a filament of PLA and natural fibers from real wood: pleasant to the eye and to the touch for its rough material texture, during the production it gives off an aromatic scent of wood. PLA, a bioplastic that derives from natural sugars like cornstarch, it is the real sustainable option to plastic as it is totally compostable and biodegradable. MAGNETISM – Feel the attraction TRILOBY ME is equipped with magnetic closure, resistant to the everyday bumps. You will spend hours playing with it. Everything has started from a “shape”: the arched trilobate shape designed by Achille Castiglioni and Gianfranco Cavaglià in 2001, that with its unique contours, proudly carries the research of an ergonomic handgrip. On the same year, from this section a collection of writing instruments has been implemented, the very last project of the Italian Master Castiglioni, that came to life only twenty years later, in 2021, thanks to some technologic improvements, research and engineering by EGO.M Team. The collection has been presented with the name CENTO3: a set composed of a fountain pen in pocket dimensions, a mechanical pencil and a multifunctional pen realized via three-dimensional printing with FDM technology. It has then been natural designing an object that, reaching for compactness, essentiality and functionality, could bring together the multifunctional CENTO3 pen and all its interchangeable functions: TRILOBY ME, a portable atelier for everyday use, a lifestyle capsule.
