Eno is a wine storage that, as a museum exhibitor, wants to be a gallery of bottles that show their best feature: their label. The project comes from the request for a wine display cabinet. It is immediately understood as an optimal shelving to accommodate chosen bottles. The overall view of a valuable cellar is often confused, given the differences between bottles for sizes, seals and shapes. Therefore, it was chosen to insert cowhide shields that create a sense of uniformity by emphasizing the labels.
Eno is a project of Marina Bani who, in the time in which she conceived it, was inspired by the restoration of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice: she was so fascinated by the visual power of the obsessive repetition of the gallery, that decided to overlap the leather arches to frame the bottles and give each one its own stage. Eno cabinet is built in a multilayered wooden frame with wood finishing. The details are covered in leather, while the backrest is in eco-leather. Eno is completed by a drawer equipped with a pull-out top, both covered in water-repellent leather.
A version with glass doors covered in leather is also available.
