Zulu is a square table with steel structure and marble top.
Inspired by the ambition of sublime harmony, this collection merges modernism with traditional African art. Zalaba invites the viewer to broaden their horizon and embrace the cultural exchange.
The structural form of Zalaba’s edition is a symbiosis of the letters that forms the word ZULU, the name of a South African tribe. Hence Zulu’s native art, traditionally colorful and geometric, has been an inspiration for the fabrics’ graphics. Looking carefully it is possible to see the letters Z and L form the frame of each piece. In this way, they serve as prominent structural catalysts in the creation of each chair and table. So the native art of the Zulu, traditionally colored and geometric, has been a source of inspiration for the graphics of the fabrics, updated with each new edition.
