Wave Murano Glass, in collaboration with Scattered Disc Objects (SDOBJS), presents TALAR: a series of Murano glass and metal lighting fixtures that exude the idea of cultural contamination and exoticism. The structures are inspired by the slender architecture of the Middle East, like a colonnaded portico in Persian pavilions, reminiscent of an evergreen garden. Traditional Murano glass techniques were applied to create luxurious leaves, illuminated by the radiant sun of the Orient. This collection embodies the dichotomy between nature and technology, craftsmanship and technique, and tradition and modernity.
