Overall dimensions
Information
The M21 table is basically a collaborative effort: André le Stang, an independent collaborator of Jean Prouvé, designed the organic shape of the table from which Tecta took the original dimensions. The circular recesses in the base were also inspired by Prouvé: the diameter came from his doors and Axel Bruchhäuser used them to shape the base. Incidentally, the idea for these 'transparencies' came from British architect Alison Smithson. In this way, a work has been created that is completely in line with Prouvé's conviction: nobody creates anything on their own.
