Natascha Madeiski’s ceramic lights series “flaming stars” is a lively mashup of Memphis design with Memphis music - hence the product names of Elvis’ greatest hits. The second meaning of Memphis is quoted by the decoration: Variously colored objects or random findings represent the notorious Eighties’ design movement from Milan, each one a unique foundling of creative synergy. (A special edition is held in glazed silver/platin tones).
The collection includes the following models: king creole, kismet, lady madonna, little mama, little sister, long tall sally and true love.
Each piece is created from gloss glazed ceramic. Streaks and other variations in size and colour are part of the production process, and not defects of the design or production.
