Nut is the Valencian word for ‘knot’ and is thus the perfect name for this delightful, twisting pendant designed by Ray Power and Mariví Calvo.
Reminiscent of a granny knot, the Nut lamp’s fetching form is made by tying a knot (in a manner of speaking): it is the result of twisting and looping a piece of wood veneer. Two designs for the Nut pendant are practicable and are determined by the direction of torsion, that is how the wood veneer is twisted.
