Charles Pollock’s 1963 Executive Chair features what he described as “rim technology”— the use of a single aluminum band around the chair’s perimeter to hold the design together, structurally and visually. Almost 50 years after its introduction, the Pollock Chair continues to exude timeless elegance.

Charles Pollock's 1965 executive chair, now considered one of Knoll's most memorable designs, features an aluminium rim that supports the chair both structurally and visually. A classic KnollStudio piece. Scaled for comfort.
CONSTRUCTION
Outer shell: integrally coloured black textured polypropylene.
Frame: Extruded aluminium with polished chrome or black anodised finish. Steel support plate welded to the frame spans the width of the seat cushion. Upholstery: multi-density urethane foam, button tufting detail.
Arms: seamless black phenolic plastic.
The color of the edge follows the color of the base (chrome or black)
