Kamón bench

In the second year of her course at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Moni Beuchel was given the task of designing a piece of furniture for a selected furniture manufacturer. After careful consideration she designed a sofa to suit Karl Andersson & Söner. By chance, we got to see the model and contacted a pleasantly surprised Moni. After some adaptation, the result was KAMÓN (2001) sofa, easy chair and bench in different lengths. The different lengths are 650, 1300, 1950 and 2600 mm and for tables randing in height from 720-740mm. KAMÓN Bench is with seat cushions covered in fabric or leather with visible wood details. The filling is made from cold foam. The legs are made from solid oak, birch or ash, standard colors, standard stains on ash and white glazed oak or ash. As there is a space between the seats, it is easy to keep them free of crumbs, as they fall onto the floor instead. After some adaptation, the result was Kamón Lounge (2001) armchair, sofa and bench in different lengths. 16 years later, Kamon Dinner (2017) is available as straight lengths, as inner or outer corners and in the dimensions 1300, 1950 and 2600 mm. Kamón Dinner is a sofa that offers a more upright sitting position and is suitable to use with tables ranging in height from 720-740 mm. The seat and back cushions are covered entirely in fabric or leather with no visible wood. The filling is cold foam. Kamón Dinner also contains link fittings or a straight linking table are available as accessories between sofas, and a linkable corner table is available between the sofa and corner unit. You can also choose to add armrests, pop-up tables and an electric socket that can be placed close to the legs under the seat at the front of the sofa. Kamón Lounge includes a sofa and easy chair offering a slightly lower sitting position making them suitable for use with coffee tables.
