Information
Honett is a solid wood bar stool that combines the characteristic, traditional elements of a classic Stabelle chair with a modern lightweight character. Thus, the front legs that are turned according to conventional design, are inserted into the sturdy seat and give the chair its quintessential appearance. A unique feature is the insertion system for the curved rear legs, which was developed specifically for this design and adds a touch of modernity and elegance to the model. The history of honett commences in the product design department of Blocher Partners, who were commissioned to furnish the restaurant at the Rothaus State Brewery, which was designed by them. The seating in the restaurant, located in the Black Forest, was meant to combine the traditional, rugged atmosphere of the region with a contemporary and refined international flair. After creating a first design of the solid wood chair, the designers at Blocher Partners consulted with Horgenglarus. The design was then jointly refined and elaborated in detail. As a result, honett presents a comfortable seat recess and a solid wood head piece, which is milled and curved in three dimensions – an uncharacteristic feature in Stabelle chairs – and is set on and joined with the turned rear legs. Ultimately, honett impresses with a solid and sturdy construction, yet the design appears light, slender and elegant.
