Adding extra comfort and functionality to the Weekday Bench, the Weekday Cushion is specially formed to fit the different bench models. Lightly padded, it features a convenient button fastening underneath the seat that keeps the cushion securely in place. The fabric is Teflon®-coated for a water-repellent finish and has a high UV resistance, meaning it is fade-resistant with good colour fastness properties. The cushions are available in different sizes and colours and can be used all year round
First designed as an impromptu solution to a lack of seating at a dinner party, designers Hannes & Fritz refined their idea to create Weekday – a collection of outdoor benches and tables for HAY. Retaining the original idea of bringing people together, Weekday’s solid, robust presence and softly rounded joints convey a sense of warmth and familiarity that invites shared dining and a social atmosphere. Featuring the same construction as the classic picnic table and bench, Weekday is made in strong, durable pine planks that will patinate beautifully and last for many years to come. Weekday’s strong yet universally appealing character combined with its multiple size options and water-based, weather-resistant surface treatment makes it suitable for both inside and outside use in a wide range of settings, from cafés and public parks to private or shared gardens.
