With the Can armchair, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec seek to go beyond the creation of a practical, elegant and comfortable design. The intention is to reinvigorate the whole idea of the armchair, from something inherently complicated to something simple, relaxed and accessible. The armchair comes flat-packed and can be easily assembled at home from three basic elements – frame, cover and cushions.
Frame: Powder coated steel or chromed steel.
Mattress & Cushions: Foam and feather duvet.
Mattress with integrated anti-slip fleece on the back side. Non-reversible mattress. Piping matches the selected textile or leather.
Outer fabric: Black canvas or Natural canvas.
Black cotton strap: Attached to the outer fabric.
Available in 2 different base finishes:
- Black powder coated steel (RAL 9005)
- Chromed steel
Outer fabric available in 2 different colours:
- Black canvas (100% linen)
- Natural canvas (100% linen)
Mattress & Cushions: Available in 7 different fabrics and leather.
