Reduced to socket and bulb, directly mounted on the wall, Pailla, like many installations, folding mechanisms or decors in Eileen Gray’s house E 1027, is reminiscent of the interiors of ocean liners. The simple form is uncomplicated and can be used on its own or lined up on walls and ceilings and, due to the material and reflexions on the shiny surface, nevertheless looks elegant.
