Cab tab

Cassina focuses on the continuity of a more than 50-year partnership with Mario Bellini, one of the most legendary architects in the world, and presents a new square and rectangular table for the dining area. Produced with the same artisan skills as the iconic chair designed in 1977, the Cab Tab table highlights the company’s expertise in the long and complex workmanship of saddle leather. The various parts, cut with a CNC (computerised numerical control) machine and then processed by hand, are sewn together to create the upholstery that masterfully dresses the metal skeleton of the table. Special attention has also been given to detail: the Cab Tab table is embellished with saddlery top-stitching visible in the junctures between the parts and the upholstery is closed with a zip along the inside of each leg, just like a custom-made dress. The Cab Tab table is available in numerous combinations divided into six families of colour. The typical structure in saddle leather, available in natural shades, a selection of reds, blacks and browns, green and blue, can be paired with a top in polished or matt marble, or in wood. The latter features a unique X-shaped marquetry motif inlaid onto the top’s veneer which has been skilfully crafted by the Cassina carpentry workshop. Guarantee of authenticity To ensure maximum authenticity, the table bears a punched mark on the side of the top that includes the logo, month and year of production, and another with only the logo located on the lower part of the leg.
