Information
An icon with an aptitude for versatility and functionality designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand for her Paris atelier in Place Saint-Sulpice. The design was first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs [Decorative Artists Show] in 1928 and then at the Salon d'Automne [Autumn Salon] in 1929, and is now part of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection. The swivel armchair features backrest and seat cushion padded in polyurethane foam and polyester batting, with fabric upholstery. The outdoor version is made of stainless steel with special textured powder-coat finish specifically for outdoor use, in five colours, and outdoor polyester fabric upholstery that echoes the same aesthetics as the indoor models.
Since 2016, the armchair has undergone a major structural update that led to its being awarded Catas certifications.
