Sorrento

The project of Sorrento table was born from the request of a large table to comfortably accommodate eight guests. In addition, the client asked for a rotating disk in the center that, according to the Chinese tradition, allowed one to take the food from the center by rotating it. We wanted to emphasize this function by creating a contrast of materials between the wooden top with veins placed in four inlaid sectors, and the lazy-susan rotating disk in stone or marble. To ensure that the large size and the stone disk in the center do not affect the stability, Sorrento is equipped with an ultralight steel base, with a design that makes it extremely firm. The base and legs can be upholstered in leather. Sorrento, created to meet the needs of the Asian market, adapts to anyone’s taste thanks to the many possibilities of customization. This table is available in a small diameter version, without lazy-susan, for smaller spaces. Sorrento is also available in oval version, without lazy-susan.
