Information
Work isn’t constrained anymore by space, time or place, it just happens. DAN thrives in this shift towards more informal, flexible workstations and is developed with the sole purpose to create multifunctional and enjoyable working environments.
DAN is in essence a modular collection. The construction is based on traditional Japanese joinery. It exists out of solid ash wood ladders and beams, and metal connecting parts. The name DAN, meaning ‘level’ in Japanese martial arts, refers to the ladder system.
DAN is an environmentally friendly collection. The structure is made out of CO2 neutral, FSC certified solid ash wood from European origin. The tops and shelves are CO2 neutral. They are made out of laminated FSC certified chipboard. The FSC certified veneer is from European origin. The connectors are made out of recycled aluminium which reduces the CO2 emission with 80% compared to new aluminium.
This table is both a meeting table and a ping pong table in one. Without the wooden 'net' it is time to work. With wooden 'net' it is time to play, using the included ping pong bats and Bulo-themed ping pong balls. The table is available in the official olympic ping pong table dimensions.
The top comes in HPL, ash veneer, black lacquered ash veneer or in a thick local beech veneer. The local beech veneer finish comes with grooves in the wood to indicate the playfield. The base is made out of solid wooden ladders and beams, connected with black melamine stability panels and black or red recycled aluminium connectors.
For installation and transport purposes, the top can be delivered in two parts, but is not foldable.
