Shell is an enduring design exercise. With a highly memorable and iconic geometry, Shell represents a direct dialogue between backrest and structure, between solid and malleable, wood and metal.The aim was to create an all-round product, capable of fitting into both private and a public spaces, due to its modularity and its different finishes this porpouse became possible. Thanks to its hidden fittings, the plywood shell seems to be simply coupled on the structure, creating a clean and easy to understand unit. Shell has been designed for living or relaxation areas and is available with or without armrests and also with seat and back in veneered wood or lacquered MDF.
Frame: 0,86 inch diameter calibrated tubular steel.
Armrests: 0,79 diameter calibrated tubular steel.
Seat/Backrest: Plywood backrest padded with high density polyurethane foam. and covered with vinyl fabric.
